Kongsberg Maritime agreed to acquire Swedish propulsion specialist Berg Propulsion. Berg, which employs around 400 people and has an installed base of about 4,000 vessels, generated approximately €160 million in revenue in 2025. The acquisition strengthens Kongsberg's propulsion portfolio and expands its exposure to volume vessel segments including general cargo ships and product tankers. Berg will operate as a separate brand within Kongsberg Maritime's Propulsion & Handling division.

Hanwha Engine signed a $197 million agreement to acquire Norwegian electric propulsion specialist SEAM from private equity firm Longship.
