Greenfield, Ind., September 24, 2025.

Elanco Animal Health (NYSE: ELAN) announced a series of new collaborations with companion animal organizations in the Indianapolis area as part of a broader initiative to support the health and wellbeing of animals in the local community. Elanco said it is working with IndyHumane, Medical Mutts Service Dogs, and partners in Operation Indy Animals, and is exploring additional service projects in Indianapolis. The company described these collaborations as aligned with its commitment to improve quality of care for pets and to engage employees in community service.

As part of its work with IndyHumane, Elanco will serve as the exclusive provider of vaccines, therapeutics and canine parasiticides for the shelter, ensuring that animals under IndyHumane’s care receive veterinary products from Elanco’s portfolio. Elanco and IndyHumane will also evaluate future initiatives for the Indianapolis community such as low- and no-cost vaccination clinics, microchip clinics and employee volunteer programs. IndyHumane uses a number of Elanco products, including what Elanco describes as the first-and-only USDA conditionally approved treatment for canine parvovirus, the Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA). Elanco noted that CPMA was used in the treatment of a parvo-infected dog named Alfred, who recovered and was later adopted with Elanco’s sponsorship.

Elanco also outlined collaboration with Medical Mutts Service Dogs, an Indianapolis organization that rescues shelter dogs and trains them to become service dogs for individuals with disabilities. As part of this partnership, Elanco is sponsoring the training and adoption of a service dog named Indy. Elanco stated that Indy will participate in activities connected to the company’s headquarters, including being introduced with an “employee badge,” and that the company plans to follow Indy’s ongoing work supporting her handler.

“At Elanco, we are deeply committed to the health and wellbeing of companion animals, and we recognize that impactful change happens when we work together,” said Bobby Modi, Executive Vice President, U.S. Pet Health and Global Digital Transformation at Elanco. “By combining our expertise, an industry-leading product portfolio, and resources, with the invaluable work of community partners, we can create a stronger, healthier future for pets and their families right here in our own backyard.” Donna Casomento, CEO at IndyHumane, stated that the collaboration with Elanco “ensur[es] that every animal in our care receives access to the highest quality products and veterinary support,” and said the partnership will help drive initiatives such as vaccine clinics and adoption support in Indianapolis. Dr. Jennifer Catett, CEO and Founder of Medical Mutts Service Dogs, said that partnering with Elanco helps provide a rescued dog “the chance to become a lifeline for someone with a disability.”

Elanco described these alliances as part of its ongoing focus on improving animal wellbeing in its home city and engaging employees through efforts such as the company’s Global Day of Purpose, during which employees around the world participate in community service.

Analyst Note: Elanco is using local partnerships in Indianapolis to deepen its role in companion animal care by supplying veterinary products, supporting community clinics, and funding service dog training; this indicates an emphasis on combining commercial capabilities with visible, locally anchored animal health outcomes.
